Position: Certified Clinical Assistant at Barnabas Health Medical Group

Barnabas Health Medical Group is in search of a proficient Certified Clinical Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this capacity, you will be tasked with performing various clinical functions, including but not limited to EKGs, vision and hearing assessments, urinalysis, and administering both injections and vaccinations, as well as overseeing medication distribution.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program
  • A minimum of six months of applicable experience

Essential Certifications and Licenses:

  • CMA Certification
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association

Work Schedule:

  • Day Shift, 40 hours weekly
  • Full-Time Employment

Primary Duties:

  • Facilitate practice operations by managing administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, insurance verification, payment collection, lab requests, and other assigned clerical responsibilities
  • Engage with insurance companies for pre-authorizations and necessary certifications
  • Prepare examination areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization of required equipment
  • Check-in patients, document vital signs, update medical records, and relay instructions from healthcare professionals
  • Maintain and revise patient health records as necessary
