Barnabas Health Medical Group is in search of a dedicated Certified Clinical Assistant to join our team. This role involves performing essential clinical tasks such as conducting EKGs, executing vision and hearing assessments, carrying out urinalysis, administering injections and vaccinations, and overseeing medication distribution.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program
  • At least six months of pertinent experience

Mandatory Certifications and Licenses:

  • CMA Certification
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association

Work Schedule:

  • Day Shift, 40 hours weekly
  • Full-Time Employment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate practice operations by managing clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, processing payments, and handling lab requests
  • Engage with insurance companies for pre-authorizations and necessary certifications
  • Prepare examination areas, maintain cleanliness, and organize required medical equipment
  • Assist with patient check-in, record vital signs, update medical documentation, and relay instructions from healthcare professionals
  • Maintain and revise patient health records as required
