Opportunity Overview: The Project Superintendent serves as the primary onsite authority responsible for managing all facets of construction operations, including safety protocols, scheduling, quality assurance, subcontractor management, and municipal coordination. This role requires a collaborative approach with the Project Manager to ensure effective budget oversight, coordination with subcontractors and suppliers, and adherence to high-quality standards. We seek a motivated, team-oriented professional with extensive experience in construction supervision who is eager to contribute to a rapidly expanding company within the hospitality sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific duties may include but are not limited to:

· Direct daily onsite activities for assigned construction projects and facilitate weekly safety and subcontractor meetings

· Conduct preconstruction briefings with subcontractors to ensure clarity regarding expectations related to communication, safety, and quality

· Collaborate with subcontractors, designers, and the Wasatch DC Builders NW team to identify solutions and address conflicts as they arise

· Establish and enforce a comprehensive safety program that promotes a secure working environment in compliance with applicable regulations, fostering a culture that prioritizes zero accidents

· Develop and implement a quality assurance program to ensure all work is executed professionally and to high standards, minimizing rework and punch list items

· Create and manage project timelines using MS Project to monitor progress and provide forward-looking schedules for subcontractor coordination and timely procurement of materials

· Oversee subcontractor performance to proactively address potential changes with strategic solutions that mitigate financial impacts

· Assist the Project Manager in delivering a project that complies with all design specifications and regulatory requirements

· Coordinate scheduling and inspections with specialty and municipal inspectors, including utility company collaboration

· Engage with local residents and businesses to minimize disruptions and address any construction-related concerns

· Support the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with contracted scopes of work

· Manage an efficient project closeout process to resolve outstanding issues promptly, facilitating a seamless transition to hotel operations

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for the Project Superintendent role should possess the following qualifications:

· A strong commitment to safety and quality, demonstrated by the ability to maintain a clean and organized job site. OSHA 30 and SWPPP certifications are preferred

· Proficient problem-solving skills with the foresight to identify issues before they arise

· Excellent construction management and communication abilities

· Experience in managing both direct labor and subcontractors to foster accountability and achieve results

· Strong capability in interpreting and understanding construction documents

· Proven experience in preparing and managing construction schedules

· Solid understanding of construction budget management

· Exceptional written communication skills for drafting correspondence and reports

· Familiarity with space layout, design, and construction drawings

· Outstanding organizational, analytical, and logistical skills

· Self-motivated individual with the ability to see the larger picture while managing multiple deadlines

· Independent leader who will represent Wasatch DC Builders NW onsite throughout the construction process

· Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and a proven ability to research and resolve issues

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project; experience with Procore is advantageous

· Experience with wood-frame construction and multifamily or hotel projects is beneficial

· A passion for process improvement and a desire to enhance the construction process continuously

· A willingness to learn and adapt, demonstrating flexibility in job roles
