Job Overview

The Salvation Army - ARC is seeking a highly skilled Sales Associate Leader to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for creating a positive work environment and fostering excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining a pleasant and hospitable work environment and excellent customer relationships.
  • Ensure all staff are aware of and adhere to The Salvation Army's policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals, ensuring a profitable operation.
  • Participate in the interviewing process for new applicants.
  • Ensure all safety measures are in place and personnel are compliant with The Salvation Army's policy and government regulations.
  • Assist with scheduling sales associates and unpaid staff as needed.
  • Complete payroll information biweekly, including signatures, absenteeism, overtime, and other relevant details.
  • Assist in maintaining a well-stocked store and ensuring all merchandise is 'ragged out' and colorized according to the ARC Command Rag Out Calendar.
  • Provide training, direction, and supervision to new employees and unpaid staff, with a focus on beneficiaries on work therapy assignments.
  • Responsible for the proper accounting and banking of cash receipts, adhering to The Salvation Army's 'Safekeeping of Salvation Army Funds' policy.
  • Ensure all paperwork and sales reports are completed and forwarded to the finance department daily.
  • Maintain good customer relations, recognizing the level of service expected from The Salvation Army employees.
  • Act as a backup to the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager as needed.
  • Function as the 3rd Key, opening/closing the store as scheduled, including making bank deposits.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in sales.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable DMV record.
  • Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
