The Service Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations, sales, budgeting, and customer service initiatives for the technician team at Haddad Plumbing & Heating.


Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed sales and profitability targets for the service department.
  • Address operational, employee, and customer concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt processing of all invoices.
  • Establish and manage service inventory policies, levels, and pricing to align with company objectives for vehicles and warehouses.
  • Manage seasonal demand by promoting and scheduling regular maintenance services.
  • Design, implement, and oversee the service technician commission structure.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs to verify compliance with procedures and enhance customer service quality.
  • Guide and mentor team members, providing essential training and resources for optimal performance and a positive workplace culture.
  • Coordinate both tactical and technical training programs for technician and employee growth.
  • Adjust workforce allocation daily in response to customer demand and the established schedule.
  • Resolve customer complaints and enhance satisfaction levels promptly.
  • Conduct inspections of service vehicles and enforce compliance with dress code standards.
  • Visit job sites to collect necessary information for proposal development in accordance with company protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma with over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC/Plumbing sector.
  • At least 3 years of management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (current abstract required).
