Kanaan Communications is actively looking for qualified candidates to join our team as Aerial Telecommunications Supervisors.

Attractive Compensation Starting at $22+ per hour based on experience.

Ideal candidates should possess a strong understanding of standard aerial telecommunications installation methods and techniques, along with familiarity with various

tools and equipment, the capability to interpret and comprehend blueprints/maps, safety regulations, and operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain aerial telecommunications cabling.
• Operate machinery and vehicles safely.
• Ensure safe work site establishment and maintenance, including the use of signage, cones, and safety barriers, and occasionally directing traffic.
• Understand separation and clearance regulations.
• Ability to work at heights safely.
• Willingness to travel and work in various locations as needed.

• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks, motor vehicle assessments, drug screenings, and DOT physical examinations, resulting in a valid medical card.
• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience in construction, preferably within the telecommunications sector.
• A valid, unrestricted driver's license (Commercial driver's license preferred but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with established aerial cable installation methods and techniques.
• Capability to climb utility poles and operate bucket trucks, working at heights of up to 40 feet.
• Able to perform all tasks related to telecommunications construction (including pole transfers, maintenance builds, new builds, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction).

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Ability to enter and exit equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.).
• Must regularly lift/carry up to 80 lbs. as necessary, with or without assistance.
• The role involves sitting, bending, using hands and fingers for handling or feeling, as well as reaching with hands and arms to both high and low spaces, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding, or stooping during shifts.
• Ability to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, and hard hats.
• Remote work may be necessary, requiring long periods of driving and sitting.
• Specific vision capabilities are required for this position, including but not limited to close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as needed.
• The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
• All work is conducted outdoors, exposing employees to various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, as well as inclement weather such as rain, snow, sleet, and dust, along with challenging driving conditions like wet, icy roads, and fog.
