Position Overview

Role Summary:

The Quality Assurance Technician is tasked with adhering to all Quality and Food Safety Management protocols to guarantee ongoing enhancement and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System. This role is essential in meeting customer satisfaction and ensuring that products are safe for consumption.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous improvement and effectiveness of quality and food safety systems to ensure compliance with regulatory, business, and customer standards.
  • Implement and uphold Food Safety Programs to meet regulatory requirements, including validation and adequacy of these programs.
  • Conduct both internal and external quality assurance audits.
  • Oversee audits and inspections performed by regulatory bodies and clients.
  • Manage the QA Traceability and Recall management process, including all aspects from product isolation to communication with customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Execute traceability activities as required.
  • Provide food safety training and guidance to divisional staff and clients to reinforce Quality Assurance values and standards.
  • Establish and maintain programs to ensure compliance with government regulations, effectively communicating these requirements to associates, suppliers, and customers.
  • Oversee supplier management initiatives, ensuring the effectiveness and continuous improvement of supplier management expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to offer food safety expertise during quality incidents and emergencies that may affect food safety or quality.
  • Lead and mentor team members to achieve both personal and departmental objectives, supporting their professional growth within the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
  • Understanding of Organoleptic/Savory Evaluations.
  • Fundamental mechanical knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of SSOPs, GMPs, and HACCP standards.
  • Strong understanding of food safety principles.
  • Familiarity with SQF is highly advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product characteristics, including appearance and viscosity.
