Cloud Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Scott Air Force Base. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services
Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, storage, and compute resources
Ensure security and compliance with DoD Cloud Computing policy and guidelines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize cloud-based projects
Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices

Requirements:
5-10+ years of experience in cloud engineering
Expertise in AWS services, including ECS, EC2, and CLI
Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and experience with cloud-based applications and services
Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
IAT Level II certification, such as Security+, CEH, or CySA+

Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field of study
10 or more years of experience in cloud engineering
DoD TS/SCI clearance
AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Professional Certification
ITIL V4 Foundations Certification
Experience with Zero Trust architectures and AWS monitoring and alerting tools
