Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Enterprise Software Architect to lead our software engineering projects and drive the development of enhanced software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead software engineering projects and create development and delivery plans for enhanced software solutions.
  • Develop high-quality, secure code that is modular, functional, and testable.
  • Research alternative technical solutions for changing business needs.
  • Manage the overall cloud architecture and investigate new technologies to help the platform evolve at the speed of business.
  • Create solutions with high levels of innovation, cost-effectiveness, high quality, and faster time to market.
  • Master design principles such as DRY, Single Responsibility, SOLID.
  • Lead day-to-day system development and maintenance activities of the team to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Drive measurable improvements in the maintenance, operational, and runtime characteristics of your team's software.
  • Collaborate with business and technical partners to identify and scope opportunities, outline potential value and ROI, identify risks, benefits, and constraints.
  • Develop overall strategic technical plans and create architecture proposals based on identified solution gaps.
  • Partner with Technical Project Managers in the implementation of processes per the evolving needs of the team and the solutions.
  • Ensure adequate test coverage in Unit Testing, System Testing/Integration Testing, and Performance Testing.
  • Perform Quality Inspections and Walkthroughs throughout the SDLC, including Requirements Review, Architecture Review, Design Review, Code Review, and Security Review to ensure compliance with Client standards.
  • Support collection and reporting of project and software metrics.
  • Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide other team members during all phases of the SDLC.
  • Successfully lead production incident and problem management, identification of root cause, and permanent correction within application and dependent systems.
  • Develop documentation templates, lead, and enforce development of documentation throughout the development lifecycle of the solution.
  • Ensure compliance of Audit Requirements by proactively educating the team on Compliance Requirements and integrating Compliance Requirements in SDLC.
  • Represent the team during Compliance Audits.
  • Advocate principles through speaking engagements outside of the current organization/platform.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of team architecture and makes trade-offs between short-term and long-term needs.
  • Provides input into performance appraisal process for junior employees.

Requirements:

  • Object-oriented design and programming.
  • Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices.
  • REST API development.
  • Spring, JPA, Hibernate, RDBMS, Oracle, JDBC.
  • Hands-on experience of front-end technology stack like React JS and/or Angular is an added advantage.
  • Jenkins CI/CD, Sonar integration.
  • Tomcat.
  • Knowledge with Pivotal Cloud Foundry or any other cloud platform AWS or Azure or GCP is preferred.
  • Experience in delivering secure solutions in Financial Services Sector is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering concepts and methodologies is required.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written, collaboration skills, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies, frameworks, tools, and support multiple concurrent activities.
