The Clinical Authorization Coordinator will play a critical role in verifying insurance eligibility, validating coordination of benefits, and explaining insurance plan coverage to patients. This position requires strong communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely processing of authorizations and referrals.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify insurance eligibility and plan benefits for patients
  • Contact patients with inactive insurance coverage to resolve any issues
  • Validate coordination of benefits between insurance carriers to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement
  • Explain insurance plan coverage and benefits to patients in a clear and concise manner
  • Secure authorizations and referrals from payors to ensure timely access to necessary treatments and services
  • Collect and process patient liability payments in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in insurance verification or registration
  • Working knowledge of medical insurance plans and products
  • Proficiency in payor online portals and third-party eligibility systems
  • Experience working in a high-volume call center environment
