About the Role:

The clinical nurse specialist at Cooper University Health Care is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive work environment. This role requires a licensed practical nurse with a strong background in nursing and clinical experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to departmental procedures and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Triage patients, coordinate care, and perform direct patient care, including preparing patients for exams, assisting providers, and carrying out orders.
  • Provide health assessments, prepare patients for physicals, calibrate equipment, and perform various tests, such as spirometry, audiograms, EKGs, and venipuncture.
  • Enter data into the SYSTOC computer system and oversee accurate data entry.
  • Stock and order medications and medical supplies.
  • Review test results with providers and handle phone calls related to case management and testing/physical results.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Current New Jersey LPN License (Licensed Practical Nurse).
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
