Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion

Department: CTRC Inpatient

Employment Type: Full Time, 0.9 FTE, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Work Schedule: Night Shifts

Compensation: $54.71 per hour, commensurate with experience

Essential Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years of experience.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Minimum of 6 months nursing experience.
  • ACLS certification required within one year of hire.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid prior to start date.
Role Responsibilities:
The nursing staff will be involved in implementing clinical trials and research protocols within a dedicated environment. Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting vital signs and anthropometric assessments.
  • Monitoring patient conditions and collecting real-time data.
  • Administering medications via various routes (Oral, IV, SQ, IM, infusion therapy).
  • Performing IV insertions, phlebotomy, and timed blood sampling.
  • Assisting with complex research procedures.

As part of a dynamic team, you will:
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Embrace a multidisciplinary approach to achieve outstanding outcomes.
  • Focus on wellness and evidence-based practices.
  • Mentor new healthcare professionals.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment.
  • Ensure safety and quality at the point of care.
Acute Care Focus:
  • Provide direct care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units with moderate to high patient acuity.
  • Utilize AMSN's core curriculum and specialty certification standards in evidence-based care models.
