Job Summary

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Acute Care department. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide top-notch patient care, utilizing the nursing process to deliver exceptional outcomes. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to prioritize wellness, patient perspective, and evidence-based practice. This is a dynamic and innovative clinical environment where you will have the opportunity to model proficiency through precepting new team members and contribute to a culture of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

* Provides direct patient care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units of moderate to high patient acuity
* Utilizes evidence-based care models for each unit, including AMSN's core curriculum and specialty certification standards
* Collaborates with Clinical Educators to support individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation
* Participates in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment, welcoming new knowledge and contributing to secure safety and quality at the point of care

Requirements

* Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
* State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
* 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
* BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
