Position Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Care Unit, you will be part of a dedicated team providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at improving patient outcomes and ensuring safety.

Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion

Department: CTRC Inpatient

Employment Type: Full Time, 0.9 FTE, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Compensation: $54.71 per hour, commensurate with experience

Essential Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Minimum of 6 months nursing experience.
  • ACLS certification required within one year of hire.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required prior to start date.
Role Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Conducting vital signs and anthropometric assessments.
  • Monitoring patients and collecting real-time data.
  • Administering medications via various routes (oral, IV, SQ, IM).
  • Performing IV insertions, phlebotomy, and timed blood sampling.
  • Assisting with complex procedures such as bronchoscopies and right heart catheterizations.

Acute Care Focus:

Your direct care will involve specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units with moderate to high patient acuity, following established evidence-based care models.
