Position Overview:

We are looking for a part-time Recreation Sports Coordinator. This role involves managing various recreational sports activities and providing guidance to officials and scorekeepers. Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to institutional and departmental regulations
  • Conduct sport-specific training sessions for officials
  • Participate in meetings and training programs
  • Oversee player participation and game monitoring
  • Train and assess officials and scorekeepers
  • Advocate for programs offered by Wellness & Health Promotion
  • Provide direction during rule clarifications and disputes
  • Maintain certifications in First Aid and CPR/AED
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED (or willingness to obtain within two weeks)
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Strong decision-making and conflict-resolution skills
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
