Job Description:

At AEG, we are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our team in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for overseeing the administration, planning, budgeting, and direction of our operations, including front and back of house services, technical services, information technology, conversion, custodial services, and equipment inventory control.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with experience in arena, convention center, or public assembly facility management. A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Facility Management, Engineering, or Sports Management, is preferred. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the overall daily operation and maintenance of the facilities, including planning, directing, and coordinating work activities, projects, and programs.
  • Selects, trains, motivates, and evaluates staff, provides or coordinates staff training, and works with employees to correct deficiencies.
  • Covers labor hours for staff, inmates, and temporary workers, reporting labor allocations to the Director of Finance.
  • Coordinates facility arrangements, monitors the work of contractors, and reports any issues to the General Manager immediately.
  • Ensures staff is working safely, efficiently, and is aware of proper safety guidelines, conducting monthly safety meetings.
  • Maintains hazardous materials communication programs, material safety data sheets, and required records and permits, and stays up-to-date on changes in Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Develops and maintains an accurate record-keeping system, including equipment maintenance and inventory logs.

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three to five years' experience in operations management, preferably in an arena, convention center, or public assembly facility.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, such as Facility Management, Engineering, or Sports Management.
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Estimated salary range: $50,000 - $55,000 per year

This is a full-time position, and the salary range is based on industry standards for similar positions. The actual salary may vary based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
