Job Description

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as an Area Representative. This role plays a vital part in our ministry, working closely with the Director and Advisory Team to fulfill the FCA Vision and pursue the FCA Mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and conduct spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example.
  • Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs.
Ministry Advancement
  • Engage, equip, and empower coaches and athletes by ministering through 1-on-1s, Huddles, and Events.
  • Train and equip staff and volunteers to empower coaches and athletes to be disciples who make disciples in the Sports Environments.
Talent Advancement
  • Oversee recruiting, training, and developing effective and diverse volunteers who lead coaches and athletes into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
Board Advancement
  • Invite, involve, and invest in an Advisory Team that is committed to pray, serve, and give.
Donor Advancement
  • Connect, communicate, and care for existing and prospective financial partners to get fully funded.
  • Manage and steward the finances for the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Establish and execute an annual budget and funding plan by growing the Home Team, major donors, and events.
International Advancement
  • Work with the Director to serve the aligned International Region by praying, giving, and going.

Additional Details

The ideal candidate is a committed and mature disciple of Jesus Christ who has been a disciple maker. They should have a passion for sports and a background as either an athlete or coach. A leader who loves coaches and is not intimidated by them. A friend who can bond with and positively influence young athletes. Someone who can speak truth in love with life experience as a coach, spouse, parent, etc.
