Our Augusta mill is a state-of-the-art facility with a rich history. Located along the Savannah River, it boasts two paper machines that produce 1,940 tons per day of light, medium, and heavyweight coated paperboard. The Augusta site is Clearwater Paper's largest paperboard facility and plays a vital role in our overall success.

Your Role: Process Engineer - Driving Innovation and Efficiency

As a Process Engineer at the Augusta Mill, you will be instrumental in optimizing our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with production, reliability, and quality teams to identify areas for improvement, implement process changes, and develop systems that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate new technologies and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Provide technical support to production teams, resolving equipment and process-related issues.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, reduce variability, and improve performance.
  • Develop solutions to eliminate equipment failures and process instabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement capital projects.
  • Train operations personnel on new procedures and ensure compliance with operational standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
