At Marsh McLennan, we're dedicated to harnessing the power of cloud infrastructure to drive business success. As a Senior Platform Engineer on our Data Platform National Team, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure infrastructure that supports our data operations.

About the Role

">
  • Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $123,115 - $215,341 per year.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
    • Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment and automate provisioning and configuration to improve deployment speed and reliability.
    • Monitor system performance and health, and proactively address and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
    • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand their infrastructure needs and provide technical support and guidance.
    • Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure setups, configurations, and procedures.

Requirements

">
  • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering with a proven track record of deploying and managing Azure cloud environments.
  • DevOps Principles: Solid understanding of DevOps practices including automated testing, deployment, and orchestration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

">
  • Certifications in Azure are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of data engineering and big data technologies is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
