Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps engineer to join our Equiliem team. As a Cloud Deployment Specialist, you will be responsible for automating repeatable processes, developing integrated solutions, and helping deliver a seamless cloud deployment platform.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience coding and scripting using languages like Python, JavaScript, etc. They should understand serverless architectures and continuous integration & deployment (CI/CD), plus GraphQL and RESTful API development. Experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation), source code management (GitHub) as it relates to the developer experience is also required.

Our preferred candidate is a team-player and a self-starter with a passion for learning and growing. Attention to detail and the ability to communicate with a highly technical audience are desired qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Automate delivery processes and maintain CI/CD platforms
  • Orchestrate automated tests to reduce manual effort and improve product quality
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to identify and resolve issues and inefficiencies in delivery workflows

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related discipline or any combination of equivalent relevant education, training, and experience
  • 3+ years of development experience using AWS
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment
  • Proficient in programming using two or more of the following: Python, JavaScript, Shell Scripting, Groovy, Java
  • Experience in designing and consuming Rest and GraphQL APIs
  • Experience in containerization using Docker

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience setting up, maintaining, and automating continuous integration systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Containerization with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Experience working on a Platform as a Service (PaaS) team

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
