Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care to our patients. Your expertise in ventilation and pulmonary care will be invaluable in helping us deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver respiratory care services to patients with a range of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medication, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation, and adjust settings as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
  • American Heart Association BLS health care provider certification.
  • Graduate of a respiratory care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
