Do you want to work as a(an) Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN where your passion for creating positive patient interactions is valued? The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. As a vital part of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
We are currently looking for an ambitious Registered Respiratory Therapist to help us reach our goals. As our Respiratory Therapist, you will evaluate the respiratory needs of your patients. You will also develop and implement the Respiratory Care Plan for your patients. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. You will be responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
You must be self-directed in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.
You will maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given.
Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure
American Heart Association BLS health care provider required. Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling and moving equipment.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
You will perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. You will conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
You will administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
You will initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP), or State Registered Respiratory Therapist
