About the Role

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver respiratory care services to patients, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assess patient respiratory needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, including ventilator management and airway patency assessment.
Requirements
  • Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
  • American Heart Association BLS health care provider certification.
  • Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
  • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions in volatile situations.
  • Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills.
