Join a Prestigious National Security Fellowship

The Center for a New American Security is seeking talented individuals to participate in the Shawn Brimley Next Generation National Security Leaders Fellowship. This esteemed program aims to develop the next generation of national security leaders by providing a unique opportunity for professional growth and development.

Program Overview

The fellowship is a year-long, part-time program that brings together a bipartisan group of emerging national security leaders to learn best practices and lessons in leadership. Participants will engage with thought leaders on leadership principles and national security challenges through various engagements, including a dinner series. The program culminates in a week-long international study tour to delve deeper into national security issues and leadership.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Be between 27 and 35 years old, as of the close of application date
  • Have at least four years of professional experience in researching or executing U.S. national security policy
  • Demonstrate a commitment to public service
