Program Overview

The Directorate of Analysis offers fellowships for undergraduate and graduate students attending four-year Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). This program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in intelligence analysis and contribute to the Central Intelligence Agency's (CIA) mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on teams alongside full-time analysts, studying and evaluating information from all available sources—classified and unclassified—and then analyzing it to provide timely and objective assessments to customers such as the President, National Security Council, and other U.S. policymakers.
  • Research, analyze, write, and brief on international political, military, economic, and leadership developments.
  • Analyze and provide written and oral assessments on challenging national security issues—including foreign weapons development, weapons proliferation, cyber warfare and cyber threats, and emerging technologies—and apply scientific and technical knowledge to solve complex intelligence problems.

Requirements
