Position Overview:

The IT Business Systems Analyst is pivotal in bridging the gap between various functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT personnel, project managers, developers, solution architects, and user experience designers. This role is essential for diagnosing issues and collaboratively crafting effective solutions. Key responsibilities include identifying and documenting functional requirements, conducting workflow assessments, creating process diagrams, and performing gap analyses. The analyst will also evaluate current application products and provide strategic recommendations, as well as draft specifications for interface programs and oversee their installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with key stakeholders to identify their needs.
  • Collect, assess, and analyze business and industry data, including KPIs and financial metrics.
  • Facilitate communication between different business departments.
  • Explore options for process enhancements, including business process modeling.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for various projects and operations.
  • Conduct technical assessments, including workflow diagrams and gap analyses.
  • Review existing application products to determine their suitability for client needs and make recommendations as necessary.
  • Investigate alternative operational efficiencies.
  • Document and refine modifications to systems.
  • Coordinate the installation and initial use of new applications.
  • Address issues related to applications, collaborating with team members, vendors, and clients as needed.
  • Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Exhibit a high level of creativity in problem-solving.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis or a related field.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence key stakeholders.
  • Resourcefulness and a knack for developing innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Experience in testing and mapping various business processes and protocols.
  • Familiarity with industry technology systems for data gathering and problem resolution.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
