Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at SSM Health. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures.
  • Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure prompt submission of all high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, images labeled correctly and patient data/history).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms and any other areas in department.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or completion of a Sonography certification program.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Breast (BR) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
  • Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
Work Environment

This is a PRN / Per Diem Shift position, working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
