Job Title: Manager of Accounting
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Accounting to join our team at Fullmind. As a Manager of Accounting, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger. You will also assist with budgeting, tax compliance, and audits, while making sure all financial practices adhere to accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or other relevant standards.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger, and perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations (bank, payroll, vendor accounts, etc.) to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee and assist with the processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances, and providing insights into cost control.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Audit Support: Work with internal and external auditors by preparing requested documentation and addressing inquiries during audits.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assist management in decision-making, identifying trends, and improving profitability.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
- Manage a Team of Contractors: Oversee and coordinate the work of contractors, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project requirements and company standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- At least 1 year of experience as a manager, can include managing contractors.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Google Sheets.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of data.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
