We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Government Guaranteed Loan Specialist to join our team at First Horizon Foundation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for exercising due diligence in loan inspection, scheduling funding and delivery of government guaranteed loans, and acting as an SBA pool Underwriter/Assembler.
Key Responsibilities- Exercise due diligence in loan inspection to ensure documentation is consistent with terms and conditions of FHN's purchase commitment.
- Schedule funding of government guaranteed loans/pools with Seller and delivery with Buyer.
- Act as SBA pool Underwriter/Assembler to issue SBA securities, converting raw loans into a securitized asset.
- Work on the DTCC platform to deposit SBA pools into an electronic format.
- Coordinate purchases and sales with FHN's repo facilities, providing direction to respective FHN Cashiers.
- Work with SBAs Fiscal and Transfer Agent to determine loan status and establish initial funding of SBA loans.
- Act as liaison with internal personnel, including Traders, Trading Assistants, Sales Representatives, and Accounting personnel.
- Ensure all transactions clear in a timely manner on scheduled settlement date.
- Utilize knowledge from customer experience to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Educate lenders and investors on loan sale process mechanics.
- Define roles of participants in the program, including lender, investor, FTA, and Governmental Agency.
- Act as liaison between lender and agency to expedite delivery of loan documentation.
- Provide and explain good delivery requirements.
- Assist lenders with completion of loan documentation.
- Define settlement process and timeline from delivery date to scheduled funding date.
- Provide sample standard remittance advice for monthly principal and interest payments.
- Assist with amortization schedules.
- Resolve issues related to borrower deferment of payments.
- Resolve issues related to borrower modifications to terms of promissory note.
- Resolve issues related to borrower default and formal demand process.
- Resolve issues related to borrower prepayments and penalties.
- Document approved changes to borrower terms.
- 3-4 years of banking, financial, or securities industry experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree in business or finance preferred.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Prioritization and task management skills.
- Experience with loan reconciliations and Microsoft Professional Suite.
