Division Head, Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine

We are seeking a visionary leader to serve as Division Head of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Northwestern University. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and operational oversight to a talented team of surgeons, sports medicine pediatricians, physiatrists, and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent and lead a multidisciplinary team of 8 surgeons, 4 sports medicine pediatricians, 2 physiatrists, 19 advanced practice providers, 5 athletic trainers, 15 administrative staff, and 9 research staff.
  • Provide overall leadership, strategic planning, and execution, mentorship, and operational oversight to the team.
  • Spearhead the development of strategies and surgical programs aligned with the Department of Surgery's strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with peer leaders and the Surgeon-in-Chief to plan, implement, evaluate, and improve programs within the Division.
  • Oversee quality improvement and related initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • MD or DO degree, board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Additional fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Demonstrated scholarly achievements and a commitment to teaching.
