About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Transplant Surgery Division Head to join our team at Northwestern University. As a key member of our faculty, you will provide leadership and programmatic growth for our abdominal transplant programs, including pediatric kidney, liver, and intestinal transplant as well as hepatobiliary surgical services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and programmatic growth for our abdominal transplant programs
  • Oversee quality improvement and related initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Work collaboratively with peer leaders and the Surgeon-in-Chief to plan, implement, evaluate, and improve programs within the division
  • Develop and implement educational programs for residents and fellows
  • Contribute to the development of research initiatives and scholarly activity in the area of pediatric transplant surgery
Requirements
  • Fellowship trained in transplant surgery, preferably pediatric surgery
  • Special interest and experience in intestinal transplant and intestinal rehabilitation is preferred
  • Demonstrated scholarly activity in the area of clinical or basic science research
  • Strong commitment to education and training
