Job Title: Lead Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Network Engineer to join our team at Purview. As a key member of our network infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading the remediation of Cisco 88xx chassis and ensuring the smooth operation of our data center networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cisco 88xx Chassis Remediation: You will lead the pre-checks, inventory management, and inspection of chassis/cards to ensure they meet operational standards.
  • Chassis Inspection and Validation: You will conduct meticulous inspections of hardware to ensure everything is working as expected.
  • Running Health Checks: You will use scripts to validate the functionality of chassis/cards and ensure they meet operational standards.
  • Network Access and Validation: You will use a customer-provided laptop to verify network connections and access, requiring Cisco CCNP-level knowledge to troubleshoot issues and confirm functionality.
Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Team Leadership: You will oversee a small on-site team, including a Project Coordinator and 1-2 smart-hands technicians, and direct their work and perform quality assurance (QA) checks.
  • Collaboration: You will work closely with Cisco and customer teams, both on-site and remotely, requiring strong soft skills, communication, and a positive attitude.
  • Training: You will receive initial training with experienced team members to get up to speed on procedures and processes.
Requirements:
  • Cisco CCNP-level knowledge: You need a solid understanding of routing, switching, and network troubleshooting at a CCNP level.
  • Experience with Data Center Hardware: Familiarity with Cisco chassis, line cards, fabric cards, and data center environments is key.
  • Soft Skills and Leadership: You need a positive attitude, attention to detail, ability to lead small teams, and strong collaborative skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
