Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal RF Network Engineer to join our team at Tech Providers. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining our network communications systems, including local area networks, wide area networks, and remote installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and related services.
  • Lead in the diagnosis and resolution of complex network problems.
  • Proactively identify and implement automation and scripting to improve operational efficiencies and reduce manual checklist completions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to provide technical support and services.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
  • Partner with software engineering, product, and architecture teams to shape engineering approaches and share knowledge and experience.
  • Define and review end-state architectural design documents.
  • Review existing policies and procedures to identify potential gaps, problems, or opportunities for improvement and develop recommendations.
  • Mentor engineers with technical knowledge and act as a subject matter expert in network and security protocols.

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of experience in network engineering within the last 10 years.
  • Experience with creating detailed network documentation.
  • Must have CCNP or equivalent certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or other closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Nokia, Juniper, Aruba, Cisco, and Fortinet products.
  • Experience with MPLS, OSPF, and BGP.
  • Experience with maintaining configurations and operating systems on various network infrastructures.
  • Experience with Wireless Radio Network Systems.
  • Knowledge of Client Astro system.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working outside in varying temperatures, standing, bending, sitting, and/or kneeling for prolonged periods of time, climbing a 6-foot ladder, and lifting 30 pounds. May require working and traveling in rough and uneven terrain, safely operating a 4-wheel drive vehicle off-road on steep mountain grade roads, and traveling in a helicopter to remote mountain top locations.
