Packaging Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Engineer to join our team at Randstad. As a Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative packaging solutions that meet product requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop packaging solutions that meet product requirements and safety standards
  • Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging considerations into product design and production planning
  • Develop and execute testing protocols to assess the performance and durability of packaging designs
  • Analyze and interpret testing and materials data to solve technical packaging problems
  • Consult with purchasing, production departments, and external vendors to determine costs and feasibility of producing proposed packaging
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging design and development for high- to medium-volume products in a manufacturing environment
  • CAD software proficiency and familiarity with packaging design tools and techniques
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
