VoIP Telecommunications Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled VoIP Telecommunications Engineer to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our Network and Telecommunications Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our VoIP telecommunications systems.

• Design and implement VoIP telecommunications systems, including network architecture and infrastructure.
• Install and test new and existing VoIP telephone and voice mail components.
• Execute service ticket requests for complex telephony service requests.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support for critical issues.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of VoIP telephony equipment and services.
• Provide quality customer service and manage client expectations.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunication services, including VoIP technologies.
• Advanced telecommunications structured wiring skills.
• VoIP telephony programming experience.
• Knowledge of features for telephone sets and basic telephony hardware skills.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.
