Job Title: Field Research Project Manager

Christensen Farms is seeking a highly skilled Field Research Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our research department, you will be responsible for the implementation of field research protocols and management of our research equipment.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to contribute to the development of new research projects and collaborate with our team of experts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate field research trials, including scheduling and setup
  • Lead the setup of trials, including procuring necessary equipment and supplies, and training barn staff on data collection
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and technology issues as they arise
  • Own data collection and validation, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Work closely with veterinarians on health research and diagnostic collections
  • Train support staff on specific trials, including blood collection, treatment application, and pig weighing
  • Participate in data sharing and research meetings, providing updates on current and future trials
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
  • Previous swine or livestock production experience preferred
  • Prior research experience preferred
  • Specialized training requirements: Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of statistical methods and models
