Position Overview

Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is in search of a dedicated, detail-oriented, and skilled individual for the role of Construction Surveillance Technician (CST).

Role Summary:

The CST will be responsible for observing and engaging with construction personnel to prevent the introduction of any unauthorized surveillance devices into completed structures. This role involves the thorough screening of all equipment, materials, and furnishings intended for use in the designated construction zone, employing X-ray technology and other examination methods as specified in the Construction Surveillance Plan (CSP) and sanctioned by the governing authority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interact with construction teams to ensure the integrity of the construction environment against potential surveillance threats.
  • Conduct comprehensive screenings of all items entering the controlled construction area, utilizing X-ray machines and other approved inspection techniques.
  • Operate and manage proposed inspection equipment effectively.
  • Apply knowledge across various construction disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering principles.
  • Interpret and analyze architectural designs and blueprints to understand their intended applications.
  • Evaluate designs and structural complexities that may conceal ulterior motives not intended by the architect.
  • Utilize expertise in Technical Surveillance Countermeasures and construction methodologies to identify potential surveillance devices employed by both hostile and friendly intelligence entities.
  • Prepare detailed reports in English, documenting findings, issues, and security situations requiring further action.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs throughout the duration of the shift.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess a Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting designs and blueprints, with the ability to identify their intended uses.
  • Strong understanding of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures and construction principles.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements: This position necessitates the ability to sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk as needed.

Communication Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, both over the phone and in person, along with a strong command of the English language.
