Position Overview

Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is in search of a dedicated, detail-oriented, and skilled individual for the role of Construction Surveillance Technician (CST).

Role Summary:

The CST will be responsible for observing and engaging with construction personnel to prevent the introduction of any unauthorized electronic, electrical, mechanical, or other surveillance devices into completed construction projects. This includes screening all materials, equipment, and furnishings intended for use in secured construction zones, utilizing X-ray technology and other examination methods as specified in the Construction Surveillance Plan (CSP) and sanctioned by governmental authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interact with construction teams to ensure the integrity of the construction environment against potential surveillance threats.
  • Conduct thorough screenings of all materials and equipment designated for the controlled construction area using advanced inspection technologies.
  • Utilize expertise across various construction disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering principles.
  • Interpret and analyze architectural designs and blueprints to identify any potential security concerns.
  • Assess structural complexities that may conceal ulterior motives not intended by the original design.
  • Apply knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) and construction methodologies to identify and mitigate risks from both hostile and friendly intelligence operations.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports in English detailing findings, issues, and security matters requiring further action.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs throughout the duration of duties.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess a Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting designs and blueprints, with an understanding of their intended applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures and construction principles.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be capable of performing various physical activities, including sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, standing, and walking.

Communication Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, both in person and over the phone, with a strong command of the English language.
