Key Responsibilities

Professional Development: The consultant will engage in a structured approach to design, execute, and assess educational programs tailored for nursing staff that align with organizational objectives. Responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, documenting outcomes, and delivering high-quality educational content that adheres to established standards and best practices.

Program Management: Collaborating with nursing leadership, the consultant will help establish a comprehensive orientation and competency assessment program for new and existing staff. This involves analyzing performance data to identify skill gaps and ensuring that training meets regulatory and organizational standards.

Leadership and Change Management: The consultant will serve as a change agent, understanding healthcare dynamics and effectively communicating leadership goals. They will maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and apply change management principles to foster a supportive learning environment.

Consultative Role: Acting as a resource, the consultant will assist individuals and teams in identifying challenges and leveraging internal and external resources. They will incorporate evidence-based practices into educational initiatives to enhance nursing competencies.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of two years in educational roles and three years in clinical practice within a specialty area is required.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is essential.

Licensure: Candidates must possess a valid Registered Nurse License and obtain Basic Life Support certification shortly after hiring.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in leadership roles, advanced education in nursing, and specialty certifications are advantageous.
