Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Safety EHS Coordinator to join our team at Astrix Technology. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations in the field of nuclear medicine, particularly focusing on oncology research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations and monitoring of radiation safety protocols concerning radioactive materials.
- Develop and implement corrective action strategies within Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to mitigate identified hazards.
- Maintain comprehensive records of safety inspections, hazard assessments, and follow-up actions.
- Oversee the collection, segregation, and management of waste in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Provide expert guidance on safety, chemical, radiation, and environmental matters across various sectors including healthcare and research.
- Perform audits, trend analyses, and site inspections to uphold safety standards for all personnel and visitors.
- Engage in regular facility evaluations to ensure adherence to compliance regulations.
- Report any non-compliance or hazardous conditions to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably in Radiation Safety.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in radiation safety training is essential.
- Proficient in handling radioactive materials, hazardous waste, and chemical agents.
- Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulatory frameworks.
