About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Health Physicist to join our team at Bristol Myers Squibb. As a Health Physicist, you will be responsible for ensuring safe operations at our Indianapolis manufacturing site by implementing policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and radiological protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiological assessments in use areas
  • Development, administration, and implementation of radiation safety policies, programs, and safety at the manufacturing site
  • Perform health physics evaluations, audits, and initiatives
  • Provide, prepare, and coordinate didactic and hands-on training, as required
  • Processing of various radiological, chemical, and biological waste streams
  • Assist with incident investigations and identifying root cause and corrective actions
Requirements
  • BS in Health Physics, Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or relevant scientific field
  • 4+ years' direct experience in Health Physics
  • Health Physics experience with alpha/beta materials and/or radiopharmaceutical manufacturing highly desired
  • Certification by accepted radiological protection organization (CHP, NRRPT) highly preferred
