Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales and business development in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities
  • Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about home care services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices to generate leads
  • Coordinate patient admissions with the team, including obtaining all required documentation to complete the referral to admission process
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care
  • Keep accurate records of patient interactions and referrals
  • Achieve admissions, product, and payor-mix goals
  • Meet short and long-term target account goals
  • Document the minimum expectation of sales calls daily in CRM (including pre and post-call notes)
  • Maintain a complete, up-to-date record of targeted referral sources in the territory in CRM
  • Attend community events to promote Amedisys
  • Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner
Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare-related business development/outreach role
  • Reliable transportation, current driver's license, and liability insurance

Please note that this role will travel 50% or more within the assigned territory.
