Secure our Nation, Ignite your Future. ManTech is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to support critical missions.

The primary responsibility of the Cybersecurity Systems Engineer is to assist in the protection of information systems and networks for the United States Air Force.


Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement system or network architectures that span various Cloud environments, ensuring compliance with diverse data protection and classification standards.
- Facilitate the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process by analyzing security assessments, organizational protocols, and conducting ongoing monitoring.
- Conduct security planning, assessments, risk analysis, and risk management to enhance system security.
- Recommend and implement cybersecurity solutions that ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
- Perform and review security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance issues, providing actionable recommendations for mitigation.
- Validate security requirements, establish robust security designs, and develop comprehensive security architectures.
- Collaborate with project teams to engineer and package releases for integration into production IT environments.
- Review and update Security System Plans (SSP) documentation as necessary.

Support security authorization processes in accordance with Government standards and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).



Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in information security.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution, with the possibility of substituting 2 additional years of experience for a degree.
- Active and valid DoD M IAT-II certification.
- Proficiency with various Information Assurance (IA) tools for audit collection, review, management, and endpoint protection (e.g., ACAS, HBSS, McAfee ePO, ENS, DLP).
- Familiarity with RMF, ICD 503, NIST SP800-53, or DCID 6/3, and current authorization practices, particularly within the Department of Defense.
- Experience with AWS Government Cloud and its service offerings.
- Knowledge of security practices related to modern operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX), Cisco technologies, SQL, Oracle databases, and virtualized environments.

This role requires effective communication with colleagues, management, and clients, including the ability to deliver presentations and exchange accurate information.



Security Clearance:
- Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph examination.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move around the office to access files and equipment.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery.
- Engage in frequent communication with colleagues and clients, which may involve delivering presentations.
