Position Overview
The Cybersecurity Systems Officer is tasked with maintaining the operational security posture of information systems. This role requires close collaboration with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Information Security Officer (ISO) to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the ISSM in fulfilling their responsibilities.
  • Prepare, review, and update security authorization packages.
  • Establish and enforce procedures for the sanitization and destruction of hardware and media.
  • Notify the ISSM of any changes that may impact the security authorization of information systems.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Coordinate changes to hardware, software, or firmware with the ISSM and Authorizing Official (AO).
  • Monitor recovery processes to ensure security features are restored and operational.
  • Maintain up-to-date security documentation accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Collect and review audit records, documenting any anomalies.
  • Participate in required technical and security training relevant to assigned duties.
  • Conduct self-inspections related to cybersecurity, including the review of system assessment plans.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and assist in implementing countermeasures.
  • Prepare reports detailing the status of security safeguards.
  • Support both internal and external clients in security operations.
  • Engage in continuous monitoring activities for authorized boundaries.
  • Assist various organizations with assessment and authorization efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) is required.
  • Previous roles may include System Administrator, Network Administrator, or ISSO.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years).
Certifications:
  • IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security).
  • Or IAM Level II.
Clearance Requirements:
  • Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph.
Work Environment:
This position may require occasional travel and is primarily onsite. The work location will be determined based on operational needs.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
