POSITION SUMMARY
This role involves overseeing all functions of the pharmacy department, including dispensing, operational management, financial oversight, compliance, staff performance, and leadership. The Pharmacy Manager is accountable for all pharmacy initiatives and is dedicated to providing exceptional service to all customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Registers as the supervising pharmacist with the state board of pharmacy.
  • Ensures the pharmacy operates in compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Manages the pharmacy's financial performance, including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Engages in business development efforts within the store and the community.
  • Oversees pharmacy support staff, including performance evaluations and training.
  • Provides guidance and training to pharmacy associates, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company policies.
  • Ensures all pharmacy associates complete mandatory training.
  • Participates in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management, and wellness initiatives.
  • Offers counseling to patients and healthcare providers regarding medications, including usage, dosage, interactions, and side effects, while monitoring patient health to ensure compliance and optimize treatment.
  • Engages in continuous quality improvement programs to enhance patient safety.
  • Utilizes professional judgment to deliver outstanding service within the pharmacist's scope of practice.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace in accordance with company standards.
  • Completes continuing education as mandated by state law.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing in the state of practice

Immunization Certification

Minimum experience as required by the state board of pharmacy

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Effective communication skills: verbal, written, and electronic

Strong decision-making and leadership abilities

Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills

Ability to manage and resolve customer issues creatively

Proficient in pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing technology

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated success in pharmacy management

Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written

Proven ability to follow through to achieve desired outcomes

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy (5 years)

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
This position offers a flexible work schedule.

Evening shifts are required.

Overnight stays are not necessary.

The disclosed compensation range is applicable within the state of the position. The actual base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.


The compensation range is one component of Price Chopper/Market 32 and Northeast Shared Services' total compensation and benefits package, which includes 401(k), 401(k) match, paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and more.
