Position Overview
The Grocery Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing and guiding the department manager in all facets of daily operations and activities within the grocery sector. Key responsibilities include maintaining the quality, freshness, and variety of products available in the grocery department(s). This role ensures that receiving, stocking, and rotating products, as well as fulfilling special orders, training new staff, and delivering outstanding customer service, are executed promptly and professionally. The goal is to meet the sales and profit targets set for the department while ensuring that the work schedules of all department personnel align with the store's financial objectives.
Job Description

Pay: $19/hr
Responsibilities
- Adheres to established departmental and store policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with the Assistant Grocery Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
- Guarantees the quality and freshness of all products and services offered.
- Accountable for maintaining the correct product assortment and inventory levels for the department.
- Receives, stores, and stocks a diverse range of products.
- Orders products to fulfill the grocery department's needs based on historical and anticipated sales.
- Removes expired products from the shelves.
- Ensures compliance with company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity.
- Mentors and trains associates to foster their success as team members.
- Performs additional job-related duties as assigned by the Department Manager and/or Store Manager.
- Engages consistently and daily with store associates, customers, and vendors.
- Travel Required: No

Store: Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)
Skills Required
- Specialized Knowledge: Proficient computer skills.
- Special Skills: Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical functions.
- Physical Abilities: Requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the workday; regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach; capable of performing tasks requiring repetitive motion and coordination; able to hear and respond to customer inquiries.
