Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Fraud Investigator to join our team at the State of Idaho. As an Insurance Fraud Investigator, you will play a critical role in detecting and preventing insurance fraud, ensuring the integrity of our insurance system, and protecting the interests of Idahoans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations of suspected insurance fraud cases, gathering and analyzing evidence to determine the validity of claims.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies to share intelligence and best practices in combating insurance fraud.
  • Prepare and present investigative reports, testimony, and expert witness statements in court proceedings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance companies, law enforcement agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing laws, regulations, and industry trends related to insurance fraud.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in insurance fraud investigation, law enforcement, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Professional certifications, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI).
  • Experience working with law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, or regulatory bodies.
