The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a pivotal role within the Facilities Operations Team, reporting directly to the Quality Control Manager. This position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring operational excellence and compliance with quality standards across various facilities.
The selected candidate will conduct thorough site evaluations, focusing on both custodial services and the overall condition of interior spaces. A significant aspect of this role involves collaborating with the Quality Control Manager to develop and monitor corrective action strategies for custodial operations, as well as overseeing necessary facility repairs. Regular interaction with external service providers will be essential to align expectations and inspect service delivery.
This role also includes the coordination of custodial efforts for specific projects and events, particularly those funded by customer requests, with an emphasis on floor maintenance and care.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a results-driven mindset. They must be adept at managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and discretion in sensitive matters. Effective communication with the Quality Control Manager and other departmental leaders is crucial for success in this position.
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience in conducting site evaluations and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate with teams to establish effective processes and procedures.
• Familiarity with routine floor maintenance and care.
• Proficient in general computer applications and software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Capable of prioritizing and managing various tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• An associate degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Background in large-scale commercial or educational environments.
• Experience in custodial services or facilities management.
Additional Information
The successful candidate must be physically capable of performing tasks such as extensive walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 35 lbs. They should also be comfortable operating both powered and manual cleaning equipment safely.
This position may require working in various locations and adapting to changing schedules based on project needs. Compliance with safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential for this role.
A criminal background check will be conducted for the successful candidate.
