This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a high standard of front-end operations in the store. The successful candidate will supervise and direct all front-end activities, maintain a clean and attractive department, and contribute to the financial best interests of the store.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately process transactions, including cash, checks, debit/credit/EBT cards, and ID requirements.
- Ensure return-to-stock items are handled promptly and efficiently, with a focus on perishable items.
- Knowledgeable about product locations, advertised items, and special prices.
- Train others to perform department activities and functions.
- Manage the selection, scheduling, and supervision of others to meet or exceed departmental productivity levels.
- Handle spoiled/damaged products according to established guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.
- Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines, Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations, and Guest Experience Guidelines.
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Proficient computer skills, including email and spreadsheets
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
- Accounting/Bookkeeping skills and ability to interpret/analyze financials
- Ability to develop and manage budgets, delegate, direct, and implement
- Suggestive selling and knowledge of products
- Detail-oriented
The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate may be required to bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. The work environment is typically a retail store with varied temperatures and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
