Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Volkswagen Sales Consultant to join our team at Herzog-Meier Volkswagen Volvo. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling new vehicles, meeting sales targets, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction: Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking pertinent questions and carefully listening.
  • Vehicle Demonstrations: Demonstrate new and used vehicles, including test drives.
  • Service Introduction: Properly introduce new customers to the Service facilities and to the appropriate Service personnel.
  • Vehicle Delivery: Deliver new vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and maintenance schedule.
  • Customer Follow-up: Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Product Knowledge: Keep informed of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Performance Review: Review with the Sales Manager monthly objectives, weekly activities, and daily planned activities.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understand the terminology of the automobile business, be informed on technological changes in the products, and be able to communicate to customers.
  • Reporting: Report any vehicle lot damage or any problem with a vehicle to the Sales Manager immediately.
  • Compliance: Know and understand federal, state, and local laws that govern retail auto sales.
  • Training: Complete all required training as directed by supervisor and manufacturer.
  • Meetings: Attend all Herzog-Meier Auto Center required meetings by General and Sales Managers.
  • Policies and Procedures: Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Employee Handbook.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Experience: None required, but previous car sales experience is a bonus.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to sell a minimum quota according to facility standards, and proficiency in personal computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Current valid driver's license and state sales license.
